What is container tracking?
It's GPS tracking and geofencing fitted to a shipping or storage container, so its location is known at all times and any unexpected movement, lifting, or door access is flagged as it happens.
How is this different from a standard container alarm?
A local alarm only alerts anyone within earshot. Container tracking reports location and events back to TotalCtrl over GPS, so you get an alert wherever you are, along with a location trail if the container moves.
Can it detect if someone opens the container without moving it?
Yes. Door-open detection flags access separately from movement, so an unauthorised entry is caught even if the container itself hasn't been touched.
Does this cover what's stored inside the container?
The container itself is tracked and geofenced through this feature. If you also want to track individual tools or plant stored inside, that runs alongside asset or tool tracking so both the container and its contents are accounted for.
What happens if the container is moved outside its geofence?
An alert is triggered immediately, with the container's live location shown so it can be tracked in real time rather than reconstructed after the fact.
